WHAT IS USY?

WHAT IS PARKUSY?
ParkUSY is Park Synagogues chapter of USY. It is a member of the CRUSY (Central Region USY) region of USY. ParkUSY holds monthly events ranging from bowling and laser tag to shabbat dinners.
WHAT IS CRUSY?
CRUSY is the Central Region of USY, USCJ’s youth movement. CRUSY includes local chapter youth groups from parts of Indiana, all of Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. CRUSY programs give Jewish teens the opportunity to learn and grow as Jews, have fun and meet other Jewish teenagers.
USYers learn about Judaism and Israel, take part in social action projects, give tzedakah, enjoy social programming and have a great time. There are many chapters in CRUSY. The chapters are based in USCJ congregations throughout the central region.
During the year, USYers and younger Kadimaniks also have the opportunity to get together for Shabbat. Every two to three months there are conventions when people from all around CRUSY spend a Shabbat weekend together.
Going to a regional convention is a GREAT way to meet people from all over our great region! Go to crusy.com for more information.
WHAT WE DO
By engaging teens in compelling experiences rooted in Conservative Judaism’s approach to learning, spiritual expression and social responsibility on a chapter, regional, and international level, USY empowers Jewish youth to develop:
WHAT WE ASPIRE TO DO
We envision a world in which Jewish teens are inspired by an authentic and dynamic Judaism to become leaders in their kehillot (Jewish communities inside and outside the walls of a synagogue) and make a positive impact on the world today, and in the future.
